decking the halls

This year we were in the mood to decorate for Christmas early. We started bringing boxes down two weeks ago and I finally finished yesterday. Yay!!

First some pictures of Dylan "helping." He's REALLY gotten into the decorating thing this year. =)
I got the idea for this button tree off Ali Edwards' blog. I was a little concerned about giving a bunch of straight pins to a 3 year old but he did great! I think his favorite part was sorting all my buttons, though. =)

I've had a craving for chocolate chip cookies for a while now so Dylan helped me make some the other day. They were very yummy!!! There's nothing better than fresh-from-the-oven cookies and Diet Coke. YUM!!
And, finally, just some random pictures of our decorations. This is my year to have a mantle to hang my stockings so I was very excited! I made the "traditions" picture using some patterned paper and a Making Memories rub-on. I used some old cards my grandmother had given me for the other pictures. I got those ideas from Ali Edwards, too. =) We've put the button tree in Dylan's room so that he can enjoy it. =)

Jenney, I love this tree! Dylan did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing - I'm going to have to do one of these, but it may not be for this Christmas.

I love the button tree!!! Too cute!!! Too funny that you have a can of diet coke next to your cookies instead of a glass of milk. That would totally be me!!!! haha!
