Past, Present and Future

Life's been a little crazy lately...we'll get to that in a minute.

I just found out that my high school will be torn down this summer so that a big new fancy one can be built in it's place. I knew the day would come but now that it's here I'm in a bit of a shock. I loved my high school! Yes, there were days when I tired of the cliques and classes that put me to sleep but I cherish the memories I made there with friends. They're giving alumni two hours tomorrow morning to walk through the school before it's gone. And now to the present (and craziness)...

This week has been a total Dylan celebration. He had his birthday snack at school yesterday. He was so proud to wear the birthday crown and eat his favorite foods with his friends. His big party is tomorrow where he'll get tons of sugar and tons of toys. Pure happiness!! If I stop to actually think about how fast my baby is growing up I'll cry so let's move on....

We're already making plans for the summer and the next school year. Wow!!! I can't believe we survived the first year of preschool and are looking forward to the next year. I'm really going to miss my Tuesday breakfasts with Lelia and my kid-free shopping at Wal Mart. Dylan will be lost without seeing his best friend at school every Tuesday and Thursday. But, we have big plans for this summer...swimming, library, trips, crafts, hopefully some learning, swingsets, zoo, scrapping, etc.

First, though, we have to survive the last day of school. That will be Tuesday. 13 toddlers at the local kiddie park full of energy and McDonald's Happy Meals. =)

Hmm...maybe I need to buy some stock in McDonald's!

Jenney, the school year sure has flown by, hasn't it? I can't tell you how glad I am that we met. Our Tuesday mornings have been quite a treat for me. And Emma is really loving her new best friend. I'm already looking forward to our summer routine and next school year!

See you at the BIG birthday party!!
